the key fob programming feature isn't working on my 06 chevy cobalt

     the key fob programming feature isn't working on my 06 chevy cobalt, it counts down like it is working, but it does nothing tried with 3 key fobs. It doesn't delete the one that's programmed to it either.

     Had the same thing happen to me on a Malibu. I went to Hot Function and to program FOB and after about 15 min messing with it and almost giving up I backed out and manually selected the Module then went into special functions and it worked perfectly. I always thought the Hot Function was just a shortcut to the actual function but apparently not.

     What path are you using? With the Tech II you go under BCM "Module Setup" then Program Key FOB's.It should work. I have a Tech II so I allways use it.
